Burger Chef jingle- for 15 cents, a nickel and a dime
Burger Chef you'll eat better everytime
for a nickel and a dime you'll get..
french fried potatoes, big thick shakes and the greatest 15 cent hamburgers yet!

I remember this pretty well.. in the early 60? must of been 5 or 6 but it stuck-remember the tune too

As far as burgers go, I always remember Burger Chef as being our last choice for eating a burger. They weren't that good.

It tended to be our last choice too, though I don't know how much that had to do with the quality and how much was that the kids preferred McDonalds, which I think had more to do with the ads than the food.
